Everything about James Stuart Duke Of Cambridge totally explainedJames, Duke of Cambridge KG ( 11 July 1663 – 20 June 1667) was the second son of James, Duke of York (later James II of England) and his first wife Anne Hyde.
He was born on 11 July 1663 at St James's Palace, and baptised at St Martin-in-the-Fields on 22 July 1663. He was designated Duke of Cambridge from birth and on 23 August 1664 was formally created Duke and Earl of Cambridge, and Baron of Dauntsey, Wiltshire. On 3 December 1666, at the age of only three, he was created a Knight of the Garter at Whitehall. He became ill the following April 1667 and rallied for a while, but he died at Richmond Palace on 20 June 1667. He was buried in Westminster Abbey on 26 June 1667.
